Energy Transition, Annual Reports and a New Outlook for Next Year's Budget

How mental health, human resources and safety will redine the energy industry in 2024.

Joe Sinnott, Witting Partners and host of The Energy Detox Podcast, joins Jason Spiess to discuss how companies prepare for their annual reports and next year business.

Sinnott, who has been involved with many annual meetings, reports and coaching sessions, explains how mental health, human resources and safety protocols are impacting bottom lines and shareholder meetings more and more.

The two discuss the intangible aspects of a company’s infrastructure and how one can navigate through these difficult and subjective elements.

Sinnott emphasize adaptability and thinking outside the box.

The role of participants in the planning process is discussed, advocating for tailored solutions and addressing concerns about external resources.

The conversation also touches on Deion Sanders' coaching style and how a mission is different than a job. The two breakdown Coach Prime Time’s victory press conference over No. 17 TCU , where he's ready to expose the naysayers.

Sanders, 56, got into it with ESPN's Ed Werder following Colorado's 45-42 victory over the Horned Frogs in Fort Worth on Saturday.

“Do you believe now?! Oh no," Sanders said. "I read through that bulljunk you wrote!”

Sinnott also gives an update from the Marcellus Utica Appalacian Basin. According to his boots-on-the-ground observations and engagements, the eastern energy industry (particularily in Pennsylvania) has some concerns about a study from the University of Pittsburgh linking fracking to health effects are raised.

The two also touch on the importance of understanding social media as a long-term strategy for business owners.
