Podcast Preview: Leading Rock-Solid Teams who make the Planet Green with Envy
The Energy Detox Podcast celebrates a 4-year anniversary, March Madness, St. Patrick's Day and World Shale Energy Day.
“I'm sitting today in the heart of the Marcellus in the heart of Appalachia that is just outside of Pittsburgh,” Witting Partners CEO and The Energy Detox Podcast host Joe Sinnott said.
Sinnott recently celebrated a 4-year anniversary for his podcast The Energy Detox. In addition, Sinnott was active in the month of March promoting World Shale Energy Day and promoting clean energy at public events.
“Although shale energy development has created countless worldwide winners, only one person won the 2024 #WorldShaleEnergyDay sweepstakes,” Sinnort said during one of his podcasts this month. “That being said, this LIVE episode of The Energy Detox kicks off by drawing that lucky winner.”
During a special Live Broadcast Podcast, Sinnott draws the name John Roberts of Englewood, Colorado as the winner of The Energy Detox Podcast World Shale Energy Day giveaway.
Sinnott then dives into the challenge of sustaining the winning performance of envy-inducing, high-horsepower teams in the high-pressure of world of energy.
“There are some practical tools you can employ to manage the fracture-inducing burnout and jealousy that winning teams often have to navigate,” Sinnott said.
“March 17, marks the anniversary of the first two commercial fracks completed by Halliburton back in 1949, 75 years ago,” Sinnott said. “And I'd be remiss not to also mention another anniversary, perhaps less significant. This occurred four years ago today, and that was the birth of the energy detox. So on March 18th 2020, just as that pesky pandemic was kicking off there, again, the energy detox was born. And here we are 91 episodes later, in a celebratory mood.”
World Shale Energy Day is a global celebration of the prodigious quantities of energy entrapped in shale formations worldwide along with the resource recovery teams who have initiated one of the world’s greatest engineering accomplishments.
Once a year, the shale energy industry comes together across the world to celebrate the transformative nature of organic-rich black shale and the array of amazing professionals who make it all possible.
Sinnott also talks about the busy spring holiday season and how time can take on a life of its own.
“From a coaching standpoint, but ask yourself, what are the common things that pop up?” Sinnott asked “Is it busy work that, you know, doesn't add value? Is it fire drills from above that seem important because of who's asking, but may not actually, you know, move the needle from the bottom line?”
