Office of Energy Justice and Equity Launches The New FACES Program
Townhall sessions has been launched, offering faculty members the chance to engage with NREL, EJE, and EERE.
The Office of Energy has introduced the Faculty-Applied Clean Energy Sciences (FACES) Program, a groundbreaking initiative by the Department of Energy, National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), the Office of Energy Justice and Equity (EJE), and the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE).
This program, designed for STEM faculty from Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), aims to foster diversity and inclusion in the energy sector.
Recently, a series of informative Townhall sessions has been launched, offering faculty members the chance to engage with NREL, EJE, and EERE.
During these Townhalls, faculty members can delve into the FACES Program's core objectives, raising questions and expressing their interest. The collaborative effort focuses on bridging the gap between DOE laboratories and the academic community, enhancing STEM education, and promoting clean energy careers.
The 10-week program (June 3- August 9, 2024), set at NREL facilities, encourages faculty to develop scalable education modules on various topics, offering a stipend and travel reimbursement.
Applications for the 2024 Faculty Cohort are now open until February 15. Faculty members keen on contributing to clean energy research and inspiring students are encouraged to apply.
There are ongoing Townhalls every Friday through February 9 to gain “deeper insights into the FACES Program”. Register for these virtual sessions and/or apply directly to take the opportunity to shape the future of clean energy education. All offers will be extended by April 10, 2024.

Most buyers either walk or drive past a home, real estate, and decide whether or not to enter the property based on the look of the exterior. What many buyers may not realize is that the sellers inside the house may be keener to engage with potential buyers than those standing outside.
The key to selling your house is in making it appealing to as many potential buyers as possible, and having the best real estate agents that can significantly increase your chances of selling your home fast and for top dollar.
We’re in the business of helping people. We just happen to sell real estate.
